Is it illegal to clear snow and ice from a public path or pavement? No. You have a legal duty to make access to your property safe. It's unlikely that you'll be sued or held responsible if someone is injured on a path or a pavement if snow has been cleared carefully. Clear it when fresh - then spread grit thinly. Switch on & Carol service in Woodhouse

At 5.45pm the Christmas tree will light up in Woodhouse outside the church, followed at 6pm by a carol service, with wine and mince pies. Assemble on the grass verge outside the community hall to see the tree lighting up. All welcome.
