Film Show - The Bookshop

Film Show - The Bookshop

Wed, 28 Nov 2018 19:30

1h 53m PG
Winner
Gaudí Awards for Best Art Direction & Best Original Score. A village drama that captures the essence of old-world Britishness … a tale told beautifully about class and corruption. The town has never had a bookshop and most of the villagers don't like books, except for reclusive Mr Brundish who reads everything he can. The shop opens despite fierce opposition
Flawlessly directed, this is a slow-burning village drama of how books and ideas can change the world. Book lovers especially will appreciate it.
Stars: Emily Mortimer and Bill Nighy
