Local History Group talk by Martin Speight

The story of Archbishop Fearon and Loughborough's water supply.

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the building of Nanpantan Reservoir, so we have invited Martyn Speight (a water engineer with many year's experience working with Severn-Trent) to tell us why and how it was built, and why so many reservoirs were built in Charnwood in the late nineteenth century.
